Thanks to your support, I have been elected to serve a second term on the Arlington School Board. Arlington County is a successful, vibrant community in part because of the success of Arlington Public Schools (APS). It is my honor to serve this year as the School Board Chair and to work with my colleagues on the School Board to ensure that APS remains among the best school divisions in the nation. We will continue to work to attract and retain high quality teachers, involve parents in their children’s education, evaluate and prioritize expenditures to promote achievement, implement solutions to address expanding enrollment, and collaborate with the County Board to ensure that Arlington schools have the resources they need.
I would like to thank all of you who have supported me during the last four years, and during this campaign. While I only had an opponent briefly, the campaign has provided a wonderful opportunity to talk with you about our students’ achievements and about the work we still have to do to ensure that all of our students are successful. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of Arlington for the next four years as a member of the Arlington School Board.
Many thanks,
